This perfect add-on to any Peru tour explores this rich cultural and folkloric center and famous Lake Titicaca. We travel to the southern Andes of Peru, where the world's highest navigable lake (Titicaca, at 4,000 metres above sea level) and an infinite number of archaeological and historical remains, as well as living traditions are to be found. The lake is as source of life: ancestral communities live on its islands, and welcome
visitors to stay in their homes. This is... the land that is lost in time - truely a cultural gratifying experience!

Day 1 – Puno / Juliaca
Upon arrival in Juliaca, transfer to selected hotel in Puno, visiting the "Chullpas" of Sillustani en route, where the ancient Aymaras used to bury their high priests in cylinder-shaped tombs.
Day 2 – Lake Titicaca / Puno
We travel southeast along the Lake Titicaca shore to a pre-Inca site called Amaru Muru, explore this awesome which is believed by some to be an interdimensional gateway and where the seeds of all existence originated. We will take time here to explore the site and surrounding landscape. On our way back to Puno, we visit Chucuito, a place of the Fertility Temple, where we find a rectangular compound of phallic-shaped
stones. Here we see the symbol of fertility carved in stone and understand that everything is vibrating in two
polarities-male and female, Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Cosmos, birth and death.
Day 3 – Lake Titicaca / Puno
Enjoy a complete day
of sailing in Titicaca Lake, the highest navigable lake in the world. Depart early in the morning for the floating islands of Uros, where the inhabitants still live as they did centuries ago, on floating islands they make with the totora reeds that grow on the lake. Continue sailing towards Taquile Island for a 30 minute, hike towards its small
town inhabited by Quechua speaking natives who have, over the generations, developed both an efficient and
original social system as well as a refined handweaving technique. Lunch will be served in a local house that
serves as a restaurant. After lunch we will explore the island and you can appreciate the magnificent views of
Lake Titicaca. After this trekking will embark and return to Puno.
Day 4 – Lake Titicaca / Puno
Transfer from the hotel to Juliaca airport.
