Located in the historic center of Paraty, in front of the docks, one of the postcards of the city, CASA TURQUESA was opened in May, 2008 and combines charm, coziness and modernity to receive its guests. The HOUSE offers nine cozy and comfortable suites and apartments, with views of the landscapes of Paraty through their windows and balconies. The bay, the famous roofs of the city, the mountains and the dome of the church of Santa Rita - the city’s oldest religious building – are the sceneries surrounding the inn.
Designed by Renato Tavolaro, CASA TURQUESA recreates the façade of an antique two-story house of the 18th century destroyed by the fire thirty years ago. The restoration of the place was made with all care and concern about keeping the colonial architecture, but also offering the best to its visitors through a mix of historic building and contemporary comfort. CASA TURQUESA has an internal yard for its guests. A swimming pool equipped with whirlpool, bar, cellar, gazebo and garden are included in this space. The HOUSE also offers a reading room with a computer and a small fireplace for colder days. Wireless service is available throughout the house. The nine rooms of CASA TURQUESA offer all comfort to its guests: King and Queen size beds, 100%-cotton 300-thread bed sheets, large bathrooms, and in the suites a whirlpool bath. All apartments and suites have air conditioner, ceiling fan, safe, mini bar, telephone, LCD TV set, hairdryer and computer outlet.
