Casa do Amarelindo
|
|
Casa do Amarelindo is a charming hotel, nestled in a fully restored XIXth century building in the heart of Pelourinho, historical district of Salvador classified UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1985, famous for its colourful houses, beautiful baroque churches, museums, typical stone-paved alleys constantly echoed with batucada rhythm or capoeira shows. Everything has been thought of to guarantee a maximum of well-being, far from the cheerful bustle in the streets of Pelourinho. The rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed or with two big twin beds which can be assembled to one huge bed worthy the tale of Thousand and One Nights. High quality bedding, pure cotton sheets and duvet eiderdowns are provided for to guarantee sweet and refreshing sleeps which not even the echo of the Pelourinho feasts that may continue all night long will disturb thanks to the sound insulation of the doors and windows. All rooms have of course air conditioning and are moreover equipped with a ceiling fan, traditional symbol of the colonial rooms, however with a small difference as the fan is silent. So is the minibar. Even in the heart of the festivities, the sleep of the Casa do Amarelindo guests is sacred. LCD, TV, DVD and CD player (free access to a selection of movies at the reception), electronic safe, hydro massage bath tub of tropical shower add to the comfort of the Casa do Amarelindo rooms, a true quiet haven in this so bustling district.
