This boutique hotel was created by Andre a very hands-on owner that makes sure all our clients enjoy the best experience possible. He is a fantastic host and the man around town if you need a reservation or skinny on things to do in town. Andres past life as an Interior designer in Italy allowed him liberty to create a one-of-a-kind pousada. Each bungalow is molded in themes of Andre’s favorite places. For example; the Kyoto bungalow is minimalist Japanese, Morocco is a theme for another which utilizes Marrakech style and decor. There are just 5 small white bungalows each with a refined, simple, yet comfortable. There has been many hotel guide books and fashion shoots which did exposé’s on Etnia, and Andre will make sure to show you every one if you have the time. The food is excellent and the ambiance is laid back. Etnia is not on the lower beach area but up in the village where you are close to all the restaurant and shops, yet it is a refuge and quite alcove that allows for peace and relaxation.
