Since 1996, the mansion belonging to Mr. Domingo Fernández Concha has been equipped as the beautiful “Viña Santa Rita's Casa Real Hotel”. The mansion, which shows a Pompeian style, has 16 cozy rooms designed with old and modern features. Tear lamps, heaters, pictures, tapestry and armoires are combined in a contemporary decor without abandoning its classic style. The Bishop's Room is available for holding meetings. A piano and billiard’s table that was imported from England by Domingo Fernández Concha are part of the ample game’s room and are there for quests enjoyment while staying at the mansion. In 1885, the French architect Teodoro Burchard finished building the Neo-Gothic chapel that is located adjacent to the old master house. Although years have passed, the chapel is still in pristine condition. A 40-hectare park that was created in 1882 by Guillermo Renner, a French landscape designer, surrounds the Casa Real Hotel. Hundred year-old trees of the most diverse varieties such as chestnut, cedar, olive, almond, orange and lemon trees. In addition is the largest bougainvillea of America that dresses and perfumes this peerless park. Innumerable statues, some of them of a mythological origin and others representing the four seasons accompany the visitor, showing the beauty of each corner offered by this huge and beautiful garden. The park is permanently being maintained and cared for by 15 gardeners.
Doña Paula restaurant, currently a national monument, was named after Paula Jaraquemada, owner of hacienda Santa Rita’s mansion over 200 years ago. At that time, a number of historical events related to the independence of Chile took place here. Bernardo O’Higgins, the general who achieved independence for Chile, and 120 soldiers took shelter here after fighting the Spanish crown forces. Santa Rita’s most famous range of products is called "120" in homage to these patriots. Santa Rita plays a leading role in the Chilean wine industry, combining modern technology throughout its winemaking, a large installed capacity for aging wine and the expertise mastered through years of wine producing. In the past few years, Santa Rita has invested in new technology, such as the latest horizontal pneumatic press technology, stainless steel vats, with temperature control systems and spiral-flow equipment to control grape temperature before fermentation. These innovations have propelled Santa Rita to the forefront in top class wine production, receiving international recognition for the quality of its wines.
